Sergeant Turek Giving Project

To honor Sergeant Frank Turek’s legacy, we provide gift bags so that a child’s interaction with first responders starts with comfort and connection; helping first responders create positive interactions and trust within the community.

Honoring Sergeant Turek

Programs

Each gift bag we assemble equips Colorado first responders to comfort children, ease fear, and spark trust during emergencies and day-to-day interactions.

A close-up, eye-level photograph of a folded, navy-blue drawstring pouch lying on a light maple wood surface, its thick cord forming a gentle curve toward the viewer. A small woven patch on the front displays a minimalist shield symbol and the words “For A Brave Kid” in clean white lettering. Sunlight from a nearby window creates a warm, golden glow, casting a soft shadow behind the pouch and highlighting the fabric’s subtle texture and stitching. In the softly blurred background, faint shapes of stacked children’s books and a toy fire truck add context without drawing focus. The mood is intimate and reassuring, emphasizing care, attention to detail, and dignity in every gift.

Reviews

Federal Heights Police Department

“We distrubuted these to some of our low-income households last year, and it was a success!”

Arvada Police Department

“We love working with your organization, everyone was smooth and the kids enjoyed everything.”

Adams County Sheriff’s Office

“We really love all of the gifts in the bags. The ChapSticks are incredibly useful and are a true necessity for us and the families we work with. We had a couple of fires and other incidents where the ChapStick was something small that brought big comforts in addition to everything else in the bags.”
